At VBC we choose home birth. We understand that others may prefer another option and that there are some cases when a hospital or other birth place may be needed or wanted. But as the majority of mainstream doulas support birth under a technocratic or medical model of care, we see a dire lack of support for a family’s choice to birth at home. Therefore, we are here as a resource: to bring awareness to how normal, natural, and instinctive childbirth actually is, and to advocate in a loving way. Let us be your virtual village, wherein we can talk about home birth openly and honestly. We also want to emphasise the trust, the beauty, and the art in birthing at home.
